Fees for Diagnosis & Assessment

Our adult autism assessment process is led by experienced specialists and includes the following steps:

Initial Developmental Consultation (£495)

The first step is an in-depth Initial Developmental Consultation. This session involves a detailed review of your personal and developmental history, behavioural patterns, and how these may have impacted your life. We use this consultation to gain a holistic understanding of your experiences and identify whether further assessment is warranted.

Full ASD Diagnostic Assessment (£1,900)

If autism is suspected, the next step is a comprehensive diagnostic assessment. This includes structured interviews, behavioural observations, and the use of standardised diagnostic tools such as the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2). Our clinicians create a supportive and understanding environment to ensure you feel comfortable throughout the assessment process.

Treatment Types

  • Behavioural therapy – Behaviour therapy focuses on identifying what happens preceding and proceeding a certain behavioural pattern. For the treatment of ASD it has lot’s of evidence supporting the efficacy of managing patients.
  • Developmental therapy – Development therapy focusses on specific developmental skills such as motor or language skills. This therapy is often combined with behavioural and speech and language therapy.
  • Social-Relational – Social-relational treatments are centred around building emotional bonds and improving the social skills which individuals have. This treatment often involved parents or peers.

  • Pharmacological – Unfortunately there are no medications that can effectively treat the core symptoms associated with ASD. There are however medication that can help manage some self-harming behaviours such as head banging or hand biting or even high energy levels.
  • Psychological – Cognitive behaviour therapy can help with a variety of mental health issues such as depression and anxiety. It has also been shown to help those suffering from ASD.
