Chinwe Osuchukwu

With over 13 years of experience as a Consultant in Paediatrics Neurodisability and Community Paediatrics, Dr. Osuchukwu brings an impressive range of skills to her clinical work. She specialises in diagnosing and treating a variety of neurodevelopmental disorders, including:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Learning and Developmental Delays
  • Sleep Disorders
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Epilepsy and Seizure Management

Expertise in Paediatric Neurodisability and Community Paediatrics

Dr. Osuchukwu also supports Education, Health, and Care (EHC) Plans for children and regularly performs health reviews for Looked After Children. As a dedicated NHS Consultant, Dr. Osuchukwu has spearheaded several impactful initiatives focused on improving training, education, and clinical services. Her leadership has included:

Recognised Educator and Mentor in Paediatrics

Dr. Osuchukwu’s commitment to education is further reflected in her role as a Specialty Tutor in Community Paediatrics. Her contributions to medical education led to her appointment as the Deputy Director of Medical Education for the CNWL-MK NHS Trust’s Diggory Division. Throughout her tenure, she:

  • Supported allied healthcare workers by overseeing upskilling programs, such as non-medical prescriber training.
  • Played a pivotal role in establishing safe working environments and providing psychodynamic psychotherapy supervision within psychiatry.

Actively promoted work-life balance and championed women’s leadership within the NHS, delivering talks and mentoring female colleagues, especially those balancing family with career.

  • Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) – University of Nigeria, Nsukka
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education – University of Buckingham

In addition, Dr. Osuchukwu is an RCPCH Course Facilitator and Assessor, responsible for evaluating Specialty Trainee Assessments of Readiness for Tenure (START) since 2016.
