Fees for Assessment & Diagnosis

Our ASD assessment process for children is led by a Specialist Trained Community Paediatrician and includes the following steps:

Initial Developmental Consultation (£495)

The first step in the assessment journey is a comprehensive Initial Developmental Consultation. This involves a detailed review of your child’s medical history, developmental milestones, behaviour, and social interactions. We also discuss educational and family background to understand any challenges your child may be facing. This consultation ensures we take a holistic and individualised approach to the assessment process.

Full ASD Diagnostic Assessment (£1,795)

If the consultation indicates the possibility of Autism Spectrum Disorder, your child will proceed to a full ASD diagnostic assessment. This assessment includes clinical interviews, observations, and the use of standardised diagnostic tools, such as the ADOS-2. Our experienced clinicians provide a supportive and compassionate environment to make the process as comfortable as possible for both the child and the family.

Treatment Types

  • Behavioural therapy – Behaviour therapy focuses on identifying what happens preceding and proceeding a certain behavioural pattern. For the treatment of ASD it has lot’s of evidence supporting the efficacy of managing patients.
  • Developmental therapy – Development therapy focusses on specific developmental skills such as motor or language skills. This therapy is often combined with behavioural and speech and language therapy.
  • Social-Relational – Social-relational treatments are centred around building emotional bonds and improving the social skills which individuals have. This treatment often involved parents or peers.

  • Pharmacological – Unfortunately there are no medications that can effectively treat the core symptoms associated with ASD. There are however medication that can help manage some self-harming behaviours such as head banging or hand biting or even high energy levels.
  • Psychological – Cognitive behaviour therapy can help with a variety of mental health issues such as depression and anxiety. It has also been shown to help those suffering from ASD.
